as my 8 loyal readers know, jackson loves "helping" with household chores. today he helped us fold a comforter in anticipation of a friend coming to visit. but all of a sudden we couldn't find him!

this is yankel (picture on the right) today. no tie, no nose, no eyes, barely the remnants of a mouth, plus an eye-patch and lots of extra thread. jackson loves yankel, while i was performing my surgery this evening the dog was beside himself with worry that yankel may not make it. lucky for jackson (and yankel) i'm a great surgeon.

because i needed to start studying for my two midterms next week, i decided i should get the dog good and tired so he will behave while i work. i did manage to get him tired, (2 hours at the park) the rub of course being that i was also tired. he was so tired that he didn't even mind my feet in his space, he just rested his head on them and went back to his nap

there are many things i know how to do. arguably i know more than the average person however, using excel to forecast financial statements. bah! i argue that in b-school you should learn who to ask these important questions and let them take the heat for when its wrong.

a couple days before our wedding will's eldest cousin was diagnosed with hodgkins lymphoma, today she and her family threw a "cancer free" party, to thank all the people that helped and supported the family during the past logn and hard year. it was a great occasion and to top it off she and her boyfriend got engaged last weekend! MAZEL TOV a&g may you have a long happy healthy life together!

as we drove to and from orlando this afternoon we passed dinosaur world. i begged, i pleaded can we please go, i promise i will be good and won't ask for anything else. Did we go? NO!! how will i ever deal with this disappointment?

as we left boston it was snowing and sleeting, our plane had to get de-iced. as we rose above the cloud cover it was beautiful a sea of clouds that seemed peaceful from this vantage point. the weekend will be full of family and fun and warm weather. i am already wearing my flip-flops!

i am sure that jackson thinks we create the rain (which is evil in his opinion) to torment him. he is always more sad on the days when he can't play with his pals in the park because of the evil rain that will and i create. despite this he still manages to get excited when we get home after a long day, so much so that he will even sit up and allow us to rub his belly, ears etc..

today both jackson and i have superbowl hangover belly. as a result we both want to be on the couch and be pathetic. he started off in a curled ball at the edge of the couch and he is now taking over all of one cushion and a quarter of the other. lucky for me he stretches lengthwise and not width so there is room my legs next to him.

today was a day of firsts my father-in-law used a lap-top for the first time. it was great fun to witness this event, especially since i have hot corners enabled which meant that at times the whole screen did things he wasn't expecting, for those of you who know him or are related to him you understand the import of this. second.. i attempted to bake something to new whilst my in-laws and husband were watching the superbowl i made black and white cookies as of posting they hadn't been tasted but they smelled great baking and if i do say so myself they look tasty.

so today will put together and placed our brand new composter and my intention was to take a picture of it to share, however. . . i forgot so instead i messed with the lighting and my macbook's isight to get a fun back lit picture. you can't tell but i am sticking my tongue out.
