my husband has a sweet tooth, this man would elbow (old) people (in line at kiddush) to get a piece of sheet cake with icing. today i got the march/april issue of cooks illustrated (which is a happy b/c i heart getting this magazine in the mail!) without turning too many pages i can already tell which recipes he will be most interested in me baking, "Fluffy Yellow Layer Cake" with "Foolproof Chocolate Frosting"

actual devil'f food cake (i think that is what yellow cake with choc. frosting is called) is not my favorite, but if you make it, i won't complain too much.
