i have used more tissues than i normally use in one day, because i am kind i am just showing off the crumpled up ending part of the tissue instead of the inside goopy bits. loyal readers i care about you and sometimes i think about what you would like to see.

anyway i have a cold. its annoying, even more annoying i can't have nyquil, my preferred method of sleeping whilst a cold settles into my body

my husband has a sweet tooth, this man would elbow (old) people (in line at kiddush) to get a piece of sheet cake with icing. today i got the march/april issue of cooks illustrated (which is a happy b/c i heart getting this magazine in the mail!) without turning too many pages i can already tell which recipes he will be most interested in me baking, "Fluffy Yellow Layer Cake" with "Foolproof Chocolate Frosting"

tonight will and i went to destination maternity. in the middle of the store they have comfy chairs in front of a teevee with a coffee table covered in sports magazines and a few pregnancy mags thrown in for good measure (stupidly i forgot to replace the memory card in my camera this morning so i couldn't take a picture) so you get will holding the bag.

we spend our (read will's) hard-earned cash on things like this and this, when really we could get a pack of twenty hair things for 2.49 and our dog would the happiest ever. of course it might be better if his momma weren't cruel by putting it on his front arm causing it to bounce up and down as he "kills" the elastic.

i finished my school-work and as a reward i get to watch the sopranos. good times. (also it should be noted that will and i share the couch with jackson, who is annoyed that we have the gall to invade his space)

he's home!! after an overnight visit at Angell Memorial, jackson came home at around 5:30. he received great care and we are told that we have to monitor him closely and go for a follow up visit to our regular vet on monday. he came home had tons of energy for about 40 minutes and is now sleeping soundly. (considering that he most likely spent most of the night & day scared and crying sleeping is just what we were expecting)

not here 365.124

tonight we came home from visiting friends to discover that Jackson had eaten most of a pack of sugar free gum. i am pretty sure that the gum contained xylitol which is a toxin for dogs. so after making him vomit, we rushed him over to Angel memorial, where he is now. He spent the night there to make sure that he doesn't have liver poisoning and to keep his blood sugar and pressure up. it was a stressful evening. we are hopeful that things went well because we haven't heard from the vet. (no news is good news she told us) we get to bring him home after work on thursday. updates to follow

as previously mentioned we are in NY... for a wedding.. MAZEL TOV Amy & Jon. the wedding was great fun and red sox nation was in full force!

we are in NY for a wedding we are staying at home of our friends the Fish's, while we were honeymooning in Argentina (almost a year ago!!) we spotted this fantastic mobile at an artists fair, clearly perfect for friends who have the last name Fish. Anyway seeing the mobile again made me smile.

so i took this picture while waiting for the T. (it make look familiar as i took a similar picture earlier in this journey). i was trying to capture all the beautiful trees lightly covered in snow juxtaposed with the ugliness of the t-station. i also messed around with the filters in i-photo to try to convey how bright the snow made everything.. almost washed out. enjoy.

the snow looks lovely on our street but the real miracle is that you can see our street. the plow truck came through and *gasp* actually plowed. perhaps tomorrow our street will not be a sheet of ice. also i should be doing my finance homework instead i am posting.

today jackson and i spent most of the day together. he was sitting rather awkwardly when i decided to snap this pic. i mean look at his hind legs it seems as if he is about to tip over they are so close together. hoping for a snow day tomorrow!
