i am working on a project for school that involves car washes and their efforts at being good corporate citizens. so if you are in boston go to the allston car wash. they were one of the first to install a water reclamation system, anyway today i went to take pictures.

the UPS guy delivered our gift for Tamar & Aaron. Jackson helped me unwrap the shipping paper and make sure the receipt is not in the gift, he did this because he cares about the environment.

its the little things that keep me going. today i cleaned off the top of my bureau, this accomplished two tasks, a. the obvious and 2 making my husband happy, he unlike me does not appreciate the piles that are my life. the cleaning up of a pile makes his heart go all a flutter

so a long time ago i joined the friendster craze. i have been avoiding joining any other social networking sites because they all seem to come and go. my husband's solution was to never join any of them.

an era is coming to a close. lunches at taam china with friends who lived in the same 2 mile radius and had similar work (or lack of work) schedules.
it was nice always knowing that they would be ordering the same thing (and that i would order it for them), funny also that i am the random one.

tonight is game 2 of the world series, the game starts at 8 and at 5:30 the streets were crowded and there was a positive energy in the air.

today jackson and will went hiking, because of jackson's flea and tick medicine, frontline, the ticks crawl on him and don't burrow, but sometimes they crawl into his ears.

pros
- our gas bill will (hopefully) be lowered because we have a controlled thermostat

cons
- the old thermostat was round (which you can clearly see) we don't have the paint color to touch up this travesty
- the wall appears to be only made of paint since anything you screw in just goes all the way (and not in the good way) this includes mollies. haven't tried a butterfly yet i am pretty sure that the only thing was holding up the old thermostat was the paint.
- we had to use duct tape to hold it up until we come up with a better solution, which still won't solve the rectangular box in a round hole problem.
- the duct tape isn't really strong enough to hold it up so its slowly falling off, which means that every time one of us walks by we push it back up.

today was bring the plants in day, while we were doing that, i noticed this hanging on our tomato plants and then promptly ran inside to get my camera.
