My last night of being 30 was spent going to a Keshet event. He wore his adorable Keshet onesie and was very well behaved. We of course forgot to take pictures of him being adorable at the party instead you get this, peeking out from behind the ergo carrier's straps.

Tonight Will took me out for my birthday dinner. Our friends Katie and Sander babysat for us. We came home to a sleeping baby (the best kind) Katie, Sander you can baby-sit anytime you want!

Ruben had a hot date today. While he was off doing that, I went off to try to find a job. Because we all know I am clumsy, I opted to save the heels for later, and wore my favorite shoes while I traveled.

Being in the hospital sucked for many reasons, but it also meant that I lost out on spending the afternoon with Jonathan. Lucky for me he was able to be flexible with his schedule and came over today. Ruben was thrilled to meet him and is even more excited to have serious quality time in October! Also Ruben was quick to point out that his outfit is what all the cool kids are wearing.

Ruben got a Bumbo seat and tray from his Aunt Cara as a birthday present. We just started using it and he loves it!

The past six weeks I have been attending a class for new moms, getting to know other new (and amazing) mothers. These woman have been an inspiration to me and have helped me with transition into motherhood. Thank you ladies!
Unlike my graduation this graduation was marked by putting all the babies in a circle. They are all so cute... see if you can spot my son.

we were due a month apart. I was two-ish weeks early, she was two-ish weeks late. funny how the babies are roughly the same size. Welcome to the world little man Ruben and I look forward to play-dates together!

our friends son, Lev just turned one and he was checking Ruben out while we hung out on the grass. I am sure as Ruben gets older he will start to chase Lev around,but for now Lev will have to make due with gently touching Ruben's hand.

one of our neighbors, Jenn Mason, made this awesome hat for Ruben. Its a little big right now, but by the time its cold enough it will fit perfectly! Thanks Jenn!

our friend julia came to visit and she brought her sense of adventure and her dog Shadow. Jackson loved the company and so did we!

Becky came in from western MA to visit with Jesse, but really to see Ruben. In the course of the evening we accidentally said Uncle Becky. She didn't love it, but in the best possible way it really makes her part of the Z family so I think she should take it as a compliment.

today one of my b-school friends, Martha, came over. we talked about job hunting, families and the rest of stuff that we now have time to talk about now that school is over. The most important part is that she held Ruben (and she didn't break him!)
later on Will and Jackson were playing in the hall while I was nursing Ruben. I realized that there haven't been so many Jackson shots recently, Ruben has taken center stage. Our dog has amazing muscles that are really quite beautiful, hard to capture in a picture though.

today I went to costco with Jason. we took our kids, they were for the most well behaved. (Jason's son is 7 months old and Ruben is 7 weeks in this picture) while we were driving and talking realized that our kids will most likely be in the same class in school. its a good thing we all like each other, because we will be in one anothers lives for a long time

today was the first part of my graduation festivities. we celebrated our accomplishments and as i sat there and listened to my friends win awards i realized just how far we've come.
Ruben also got dressed up for the event! I think he is excited that he doesn't have to listen all the finance, strategy and business talk anymore.

thanks to our friends who lent us clothing for Ruben, our son is hipper than his mom. He is apparently "with the band."

As a side note, I don't understand his jeans, they have actual pockets. I mean what is he going to store in there, his all-access backstage pass?

today we met a friend of Cara's in the South End, we walked right by Jonathan's door, we were all a little sad that we couldn't just ring the doorbell and say hi. so to make it better...

while Will and I were finishing dinner, Auntie Cara took care of feeding the little man. she is a natural. I am told that Judy tried to a post a comment to the effect of how natural Cara looks with Ruben, to add to that fire I decided to post this picture.

amongst all the other things that happened today, Cara and Ruben got a good snuggle in. Ruben is learning from the best, Aunt Cara is a superstar snuggler.

also we are lucky enough to have many generous friends who have given us hand-me-downs for Ruben, this onesie is among my favorite, on the front it has drawing of the caterpillar from The Very Hungry Caterillar and on the back it says this. Really what could be cuter?
